I agree with Deanndra. That whole group of realists are often more taken with spectacle and pomp on the marketing end of things than in just a “shut-up and paint” existence. also, will Odd Nerdrum ever break out of his icelandic backdrop, Anders Stone his Mexico, Curren his NYC? I will say though, the poop-painting is terrific. humor and execution… gotta luv it.

He would do well to just paint and not talk so much. his aesthetic is all his own, though obviously heavily influenced by the 1600s. nothing wrong with that. a man has to know what he likes.
