FAQ
Q: How do I use this site.
Search for a name of someone you want to read about. If that Personpage doesn’t exist, create it.
Sign in and click “add person.” The page walks you through it in about as long as it took to read this.
To interact with a Personpage already up you need to be signed in. Leave comments/observations in the box at the bottom of the Personpage. Click the icon “add a picture” next to it. Copy in a url address of any picture you want to add. Join a free photo service like Photobucket or Flickr and keep your photo albums there. Then copy the url and put it in any Personpage. The Humanityscale gets clicked on to vote, you’ll see.
Q: How do I show my comments to others?
On every Personpage there is an “e-mail page to a friend” button. Just click and enter the e-mail addresses you want to. They will receive an e-mail from Thisiseveryone.com saying that you thought they would find that page interesting.
Q: How do I know what I see is real/true?
You don’t. Anyone can post anything. But with higher volume of additions to a Personpage, a better understanding may appear.
Q: I don’t like the photo I see. How can I get rid of it?
The photos and the comments/observations on each Personpage are the most recent additions to that page. Upload your own comments/observations or photos to be the most recent ones showing. The older data gets archived at the bottom.
Important:
Please understand that not everyone is going to like everything posted. Often we can learn more about ourselves from criticism than from praise. Most important of all, this site is for entertainment. Nothing anybody ever says should be taken seriously, good or bad. So try just to roll with it and enjoy the ride. Anything that appears to be illegal, violent, threatening or spam should be disregarded immediately and brought to our attention. Just click “contact” on any page.
Q: How many comments and photos can I put on a Personpage?
As many and as often as you like, but lets not go nutty here. Keep it fun and friendly.
Q: What are the “1 degree of separation” thumbnail photos on Personpages?
These are people that are connected to users that have posted on that Personpage. When a user adds to a Personpage, their other posts and pictures are shown here at random. So maybe there is a connection to the Personpage you are viewing and these other people… or maybe not. Click on it to find out.
Q: Can I do the Humanity Scale more than once?
The more people that vote, a better picture of who the person is might appear. To keep the tally from getting lopsided, we limit each user to one vote per Personpage. There is no limit to the comments and pics.
Q: What is the Humanity Scale and what does it mean?
The Humanity Scale is for you the friend, acquaintance, or observer to be able to give a quick overall impression of a person. There is nothing scientific about it. The votes get averaged out with all the others. The more votes, the better the consensus. So make your vote count!
Q: What are Personpoints?
Each time you start a Personpage you get one Personpoint.
The more points you have the higher standing you have in the collective because it shows your seriousness for the project. Eventually, you will be able to redeem these points for coffee, carbon credits, all sorts of odd things, so stay tuned.
Q: What if I don’t want to be listed?
If you never leave your home, don’t have any contact with the outside world and no one knows you, you might, just might, slip under the radar of this project. However, you probably do have contact with humanity and your actions create reactions. That is why we should all strive to be as good a person as possible, all the time. Embrace your membership in the human race and do the absolute best you can! If you still wish not to be accountable for your activity on this planet, and you think that you are the subject of a Personpage, you will need to contact everyone you have ever known, has ever known you, seen you or thought about you, and ask them not to post anything about you. Because those are the potential contributors to the Personpage. We are only a blank-canvas for the people of the world to use. This is Everyone. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
Happy Travels,
The Management.
